Break Your Own Geode Discovery Set BZGO4

Enjoy the anticipation and surprise of discovery with real Moroccan Geodes! Each geode contains quartz crystals and the possibility of other mineral deposits inside. Some geodes may have newly formed crystals inside the perimeter of the rock, while others may have full grown crystals that completely fill the space inside. 

Discuss how the geode looks and feels in it's whole state. Try to guess what you'll find when it's opened. How do you think it will look? How do you think it will feel? How hard do you think it will be to break open?

For easy clean up, place the geode inside a cloth or paper bag, or even an old sock, and with adult supervision, use your own hammer or pick to tap the geode open. Be sure to put on the included safety goggles before you tap and use the magnifiers to examine your crystals after. Were your expectations correct?
