Bluebirds = Happiness

Did you know that bluebirds have long been a symbol of happiness in many cultures? It's no wonder, with their beautiful blue and orange feathers (Eastern Bluebirds), the gentle rise and fall pattern of their flutter, and the crisp, upbeat, song they whistle over and over. They surely improve the mood of everyone nearby.  Visit our Facebook page to hear their song.

We have bluebird boxes in our yard, and every year I am reminded of Snow White. Imagine those gentle little birds helping with the laundry, cleaning, gardening, and keeping you entertained while mowing the lawn? Sounds wonderful, doesn't it?

Although these things are not likely to actually happen, it sure is a joy to watch those bluebirds go about their daily activities. Did you know that the male Eastern Bluebird attracts a female to his nest site by carrying material in and out of the hole, perching, and fluttering his wings? Then, the female cheerfully does all the nest building.

The website, All About Birds by Cornell Lab, is a great resource for all types of birds. These creatures are marvelous to watch, and Celestron offers several types of binoculars and monoculars for watching. Some telescopes can be used for terrestrial viewing, as well!

To celebrate our featherd friends, we are happy to offer Free Shipping on Celestron products over $50*, while supplies last. It's a great time start a new hobby, relax in nature's wonders, and just be happy!

(*Unfortunately, Some Celestron products do not qualify for free shipping.)
