As the microscope that sets the standard for high school instruction, the 132-CLED-MS is part of a series of compound microscopes that include all of the most commonly specified features like rugged metal construction and locked-on parts. The superior DIN optical system and precision mechanical components assure sharp, unsurpassed viewing. Dual view head allows teachers to observe simultaneously what students are viewing, or enables two students to view specimen at the same time. This microscope is recommended for instruction through grade 12.
SPECIFICATIONS
Superior DIN optical system combined with LED illumination delivers higher light efficiency than standard 20 watt tungsten bulb and assures cool operating temperature. Dual viewing head permits simultaneous viewing by student and teacher, and is also ideal for video microscopy. Top mounted mechanical stage makes moving specimen simple for students. A very versatile microscope recommended for instruction through grade 12.
OPTICAL SYSTEM
Widefield 10x eyepiece with revolving pointer, supplied in both diagonal and vertical viewing tubes. Accepts optional #965-160 eyepiece reticle.
Vertical and 30° inclined tubes mounted on 360° rotating head for ease of use.
Vertical tube has diopter adjustment, positioned low for easier camera mounting, using optional accessory #930-028 video c-mount.
DIN standard, achromatic, parfocalled, parcentered, and color-coded: 4x (0.10 N.A.), 10x (0.25 N.A.), and 40xR (0.65 N.A.) objectives.
3-hole nosepiece is ball-bearing mounted for more precise alignment, has positive click stops.
ILLUMINATION
Built-in LED illumination, delivers greater light and longer life than standard 20 watt tungsten bulb. Virtually no base heat. 50,000 hour rated bulb.
Base mounted on/off switch, heavy-duty 3-wire cord.
FOCUSING
Separate low position coarse and fine focusing controls.
Stage moves up or down, eyepiece and body remain fixed.
Slip clutch prevents damage to focusing system.
Tension adjustment eliminates stage drift.
Safety rack stop prevents damage to slides and objective lenses.

Large 110mm x 120mm (4-3/8 in. x 4-3/4 in.) stage, with locked-on top mounted mechanical stage
Built-in 0.65NA condenser lens.
Calibrated 5-hole disc diaphragm.
