Wright's Blood Stain and Phosphate Buffer in 1 convenient package. Wright's stain is used in histology to differentiate blood cells. Composed of a mixture of red and blue dyes, it is used primarily to stain peripheral blood smears and bone marrow aspirates which are examined under a microscope. Phosphate Buffer is used in conjunction with Wright's stain in the staining and rinsing process. Basic instructions are included. Everything was great with this item
It left lots of stain artifacts and platelets in perpetual blood didn’t really take up the stain, but it was fine enough since I wasn’t expecting too much from it.

A simple, yet effective stain. I was blown away how good the stain came out. I viewed my personal blood smear using this stain with a cheap $120 microscope and was amazed that I could easily perform a manual diff with little trouble. The granules arent as prominent in some of the WBCs but I lay the fault to my cheap microscope. No MeOH is needed for fixing, this is all you need! Plenty of stain and buffer soln and will last for many slides. Very happy with this purchase.

Received the product quickly and it worked exactly as described - in the future I would consider a larger bottle of stain and buffer - actually could use 2-3X more buffer for rinsing the slides.

I have used this on a couple of smears, works ok, seems like I can get good RBC staining or good wbc staining, but not both. I prefer other products I've used, but it's good in a pinch. Protocol (wright-geimsa) is better in my opinion, and is a single step
I used this set to stain a smear I made at home, and it turned out remarkably well. Don't know if the artifacts on the smear was from the slide or precipitate in the stain. The cells were differentiated well. Just wish there was more stain the bottle.

Had poor luck the first time I use this to stain blood, maybe I did not do it well, will try again.
