Steel, Black Handle Scalpel, 6-1/8" L. The Steel Black Handle Dissecting Scalpel has an overall length of 6-1/8" with a 1-1/2" long blade. For dissection and educational laboratory use. Available with a smooth enameled (painted) handle, or with a vinyl coating for enhanced grip, and to help prevent slipping off a surface.

This grade of steel is considered single use, or disposable, and cannot be autoclaved. They can, however, be cleaned by hand and reused in educational and hobby settings. These scalpels are an economical choice for applications that require a sturdy instrument at an economical price.
